Before macOS Monterey, saving photos or videos on the Messages app required users to double click them and manually save them through preview. Now, all you need to do is click a button.
How to quick save photos and videos on Mac using Messages
- Go to Messages
- Find a photo, photo stack, or video you want to save
- Click the save icon next to the image/video(s)
- Now, it's saved in your photos library
